About Adolfo

Adolfo Nikolai Cornavaca was born 21 December 1989 in Managua, Nicaragua. He enlisted in Company B, 640th Aviation Support Battalion, California Army National Guard on 9 July 2009 as a Private E-2, Aviation Pneudraulics Repairer, 15H. He attended Basic Training and AIT at FT Rucker, AL, from October 2009 – April 2010. In November 2010, he was mobilized and deployed with the Blacksmiths to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn. He maintained a professional and uplifting demeanor as he performed as an expert in his trade while increasing the morale of his fellow Soldiers.

His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal w/Bronze Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/M device Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Combat Action Badge and the Basic Aviation Badge.
